Executive Director Message - December 2025
Giving Your Money, Time, and Self to The Cause.
“It is well to remember that he who gives money gives much, he who gives time gives more, but he who gives of himself gives all.” — President Thomas S. Monson
As we enter this season of reflection and gratitude, I’ve been thinking about this powerful reminder from President Thomas S. Monson. At OSSO, we see this truth lived out every single day. Our organization is built on generosity—but not just the kind measured in dollars or hours. What makes OSSO unique is that our donors and volunteers consistently give something deeper. They give of themselves.
When someone donates to OSSO, they aren’t simply transferring funds—they’re expressing belief in the inherent worth of children they may never meet. They are choosing to stand with us in providing safety, stability, and hope. Their giving is personal, meaningful, and rooted in compassion.
When someone volunteers with OSSO—whether for a week, a semester, or longer—they offer more than their time. They show up fully. They hold hands, wipe tears, celebrate milestones, and build trust with children who desperately need consistent, unconditional love. Their presence becomes part of a child’s healing. That is giving of oneself in its purest form.
As we close 2025, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to every donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who has chosen to give all—not out of obligation, but out of love. The impact of your personal sacrifice and emotional investment cannot be overstated. You are changing the trajectory of lives.
Thank you for being the kind of people who don’t just care about a cause—you carry it in your hearts. And because of you, OSSO will continue to provide the love and care every child deserves.
From all of us at OSSO, thank you—and Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Jerrod
